MAO Slovenija and Center Rog organised a special event and a round table highlighting the current situation of crafts and their connection with design in Slovenia. The public discussion with various experts, decision-makers, craftspeople and designers was intended for various stakeholders in the fields of crafts, design, architecture, art, museology and more. The aim is to raise awareness and encourage further cooperation in the field of preserving the rich European crafts heritage as well as exploring new means of disseminating traditional crafts knowledge and skills. The event also presented the activities all over Europe under the umbrella of MADE IN.

The public discussion with various experts, decision-makers, craftspeople and designers was intended for various stakeholders in the fields of crafts, design, architecture, art, museology and more.
The aim was to raise awareness and encourage further cooperation in the field of preserving the rich European crafts heritage as well as exploring new means of disseminating traditional crafts knowledge and skills. In the lively debate different craftspeople and creatives also shared issues and problems that are currently hindering design / crafts work and transfer of knowledge and skills in the disciplines as well as between them.
Guests and speakers at the event included Consortium of Handicraft Centres of Slovenia (Konzorcij rokodelskih centrov Slovenije), Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport of Republic of Slovenia, Pottery Centre Maribor (Lončarski center Maribor), Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia, Slovetno, Salto Dionys and Centre for Creativity Slovenia.
