The MADE IN Dialogue event held by Nova Iskra focused on the artistic exploration of the future of technology and interdisciplinary collaboration in art.
The event continues the collaboration between Re:People (Center for Public Policy Research) and the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (IMGGI), University of Belgrade, initiated by the exhibition “OTHER PLACES” held in October 2023 at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade.
The round table is inspired by the exhibition Some other places / Neka druga mesta held in the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade, October 2023. The exhibition is a result of cooperation between Re:People (Public Policy Research Center) and the Institute of Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering – University of Belgrade within the “Art meet science” Project. With a goal to promote the larger application of green technologies, this event focuses on production and application of microbial pigments in arts, as a testing ground of its industrial application. The round table brought together artists and scientist who participated in the project to further discus their creative research processes. The aim is to rise awareness of the environmental and economic impact the sustainable process of making microbial pigments can have.
The intro was delivered by Ivan Šuković, artistic director at Re:People (Center for Public Policy Research) and guests included Milica Lazarević, Dragana Lukić, Emilija Radojičić , Jelena Lazić, Sonja Lundin.
