Models, Products and Scenarios illustrating co-creative processes between various fields of Crafts, Design, Arts and Science utilising traditional and technologically advanced techniques.
The crash course designed by Trajna / Krater Collective consists of two workshops co-led by Debra Solomon, Urška Škerl, and Alen Mangafić, that explore urban biodiversity stewardship through innovative practices. They are designed to enhance understanding of urban ecosystem management and spatial interventions.
The workshops organised by University of Applied Sciences, faculty Angewandte Kunst Schneeberg will offer young designers, craftspeople and creatives an opportunity to experiment with wood, guided by mentors in engineering, craft, and design. Through lectures, workshops and field trips, participants will explore innovative uses of wood in the 21st century, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration and creative proposals. The workshops will produce a series of completed exhibition-quality pieces, expressive studies and prototypes.
In this residency by Passa Ao Futuro designer Henrique Ralheta collaborated with an esparto basket weaver craftsman Isidoro Ramos and in their collaboration they incorporated the doormat stitch, one of the unique techniques used in Esparto work - an art recently rehabilitated in Loulé. The residency was also made possible with the support of De La Espada that produced the wooden structure of Henrique & Isidoro pieces.
In this residency organised by Passa Ao Futuro, designer Sam Baron and basket weavers Nuno Henriques and Sónia Henriques of Toino Abel got inspired by the junco bundle and Sam Baron's concept of utilizing the flower part of the reed has led to several innovations.
