Models, Products and Scenarios illustrating co-creative processes between various fields of Crafts, Design, Arts and Science utilising traditional and technologically advanced techniques.
The residency combines mycoremediation techniques and conceptual objects to tackle heavy metal soil contamination. Drawing inspiration from adaptive plant and fungi species known as accumulators and in the face of environmental instability and climate change, it will explore resilient ecosystems through symbiotic infrastructure.
During the residency by Oaza and Drugo more, artist Igor EsÌŒkinja investigated the history and ecological legacy of purple pigment production. Using these discarded shells, he created relief artworks that connect ancient myths, scientific research, and environmental concerns, turning a forgotten byproduct into a powerful medium for artistic expression.
Drugo more and Oaza are facilitating a project with SOLL, an AI designer, that will craft a bold narrative intertwining the Mediterranean mythology with futuristic innovation and culminate in a visionary initiative.
